Non-anesthetic Dental Procedure – For patients that have Grade I dental disease (Mild to moderate tartar and gingivitis), we have an independent group (Josh, Lisa, and Connie) that come to our clinic once a month. They are specially trained to perform an ultrasonic scaling and polishing of the teeth, just like your own dental hygienist. The majority of pets tolerate the procedure very well. All of us at All Paws have had our pets cleaned by this service and our clients are thrilled that their pet can receive a thorough cleaning without their pet being anesthetized!
Anesthetic Dental Cleaning: For those patients that have Grade II-IV dental disease (ie: disease below the gumline), we provide safe anesthesia (see above comments on anesthesia) and can more thoroughly scale tartar below the gumline. Extractions may be necessary based on the degree of bone loss around the tooth root, and we have digital dental radiography to help ascertain the level of the diseased tooth.
